"Elite is AMAZING!" Jackie R. 5/24/10

BEFORE.......                                                                                                                          47lbs Later!............................

"Hi. My name is Stephanie Chery and I am 28 years old. I am single mother of a 5 year old son, I work full time for hospice and I have been going to school since January. Late June 09, I came to Carrie Andrade after being referred to her by a co-worker.  I was tired of the way I was living my life. I was a diabetic, 27 years old and weighted 272(? Don’t remember).   So it was finally time for a change. I was ready for a change. At first, I just worked with Carrie private training sections 2 to 3 time a week.  I also started change what I ate. I added more fruits, veggies, and water to my meal plans and cut out the sugar, fast food intake. It was hard at first. But I knew that I wanted to loss the weight and change my lifestyle chooses. I stuck to it. Now of course, I had a bad day here and there but as they say “Get right back on the horse” and that just what I did.  The next few months I worked hard with Carrie. I even stated taking some of the classes that her studio offered.    Currently, the past 4 months I have been working out 5 to 7 hours a week and taking about 3 to 5 classes at Elite training and fitness. I weigh 235. I have loss 19% of body fat. I am not taking my diabetic medication per request of my doctor. My A1C is 5.8. Doctors like a person with diabetes to have an A1C test of 6.  In June 09, my A1C was 7.5.  I told myself by July 2010, I want to be off my medication and lose at least 90 lbs. I can check the medication off my list and I only have 56 lbs left to loss.  Now with this lifestyle change I have learned several things: 1.You have to want to lose the weight. 2. It’s not a diet. It’s a lifestyle. 3. I need someone to push me a little and show me some “tough love”.( Thank You God and Carrie). 4. That it is possible." Stephanie Chery, March 2010
